Review: Google Chrome 3.0
Mozilla Firefox has been discover for more than five years old and is meet at Version 3.0. Apple Safari was originally free sixt yrs back and is at Version 4.0. Google Chrome has been launched on 2 sep 2008, and Google meet prefabricated Version 3.0 available. Google understandably is hell-bent on apace making up for its new advice in the application market.
Of course, sometimes feat likewise alacritous can be a intense thing, directive to a creation that isn’t as steady as digit that takes a slower raise path. But patch Google has been agitated alacritous with its browser, so farther things are hunting good.
Google Chrome 3.0 beta showcases individual new features, most of which are examples of getting up to kindred features in browsers much as Apple Safari, Opera and Mozilla Firefox. But they are recognizing changes, and, if we wager a some more additions by the instance it releases, Chrome 3.0 looks same it will be a worthwhile upgrade.
From a usability standpoint, the most manifest new capabilities are discovered in the tender that Chrome launches when a individual opens a grapheme new journalism in the browser. Chrome 3.0—like Safari and Opera—lets users make this page, which by choice shows thumbnails of the most ofttimes visited Websites.
When Tested
I was healthy to opt to withdraw Websites from pass in this tender and could advise thumbnails by dragging and descending them. I could also mark a place so that it would ever exhibit in a restricted blot on the tender no concern how ofttimes it was visited. It is also doable to pass a itemize of sites, kind of than thumbnails.
The Omnibox—the constituent for the come forbid in the browser—has ever been digit of my selection features of Chrome. Chrome auto-suggests material as a individual types in the Omnibox, and in the 3.0 beta the application also displays icons to exhibit what identify of material is existence suggested, much as Websites, searches, or material from the browser\'s bookmarks and history. This feature was nice, but the message of the icons isn’t directly manifest (Is the measure history? Is the magnifying render search?).
In the application world, the generic constituent “chrome” has commonly referred to the knowledge to gimmick discovers an interface with bespoken themes and icons. So it was ever somewhat fantastic that Google Chrome had restricted features for controlling the “chrome” of the browser.
That\'s every denaturized with the 3.0 beta, which provides users with the choice for dynamical the countenance and see of the application by applying new themes. From the application Options screen, choosing Get Themes took me to a Web tender where there are currently 29 themes from which to choose. This is a pretty base customisation option, but it\'s a start.
Performance
Google has ever emphasized the pace and action of Chrome and with the beta of Version 3.0 the consort is erst again touting the browser\'s speed. I consumed different online action tests and Futuremark’s Peacekeeper criterion (at http://service.futuremark.com/peacekeeper/) to appraise action and discovered that the 3.0 beta did exhibit an transformation over Chrome 2.0 and was correct at the crowning of the application action interpret alongside Safari 4.0.
Standards hold is also existence touted in Chrome 3.0, most noticeably in cost of hold for the expected HTML 5 standard. Like Opera and Firefox 3.5, the Chrome 3.0 beta supports some elements of HTML 5, including the knowledge to separate HTML natively within the application without requirement for third-party plug-ins.
Chrome 3.0 also appears to meliorate on Chrome’s already rattling beatific judgement on the Web Standards Project’s Acid3 test. During my evaluation, the Google Chrome 3.0 achieved a amend reason in the test.

Google Chrome – The Next Internet Explorer
Google's Chrome browser has very less market share as compared to Microsoft Internet Explorer. Yet Microsoft plans to argue to the European Commission that bundling Chrome into Microsoft Windows -- an anti-trust decree the EC wants to impose -- will potentially give Google a monopoly hold on the Internet.
Google knows speed is addictive -- search queen Marissa Mayer has repeatedly said that a few hundred milliseconds per page make a 20 percent difference in how often user’s type a search into Google. One of the company's major goals with Google Chrome browser is to effectively speed up the Internet for end users.
Chrome also came out ahead in an admittedly Google-sponsored computer security test. The reason: The browser automatically updates itself every few days. This means Chrome users are most likely to have the latest security updates installed.
Microsoft's argument may seem comical, but there's a kernel of truth to it: If Google ends up with a majority share of browser users tied to Chrome, and Google's search engine is their most frequent and trusted destination, think of the opportunities for Google to leverage that huge group of people.

Google claims 30 percent Chrome speed boost
Google has shifted the JavaScript engine that powers its Chrome Web browser into a higher gear.
The company announced Thursday that an update to Chrome's V8 JavaScript engine, combined with a new version of the Webkit browser engine, should improve the loading speed of JavaScript-heavy Web pages by up to 30 percent. The updates will be automatically downloaded to existing copies of Chrome.
JavaScript engines are one of the new fronts in the browser wars, with various vendors touting the performance of their browsers this year in hopes of unseating the competition. Chrome did very well on CNET JavaScript tests earlier this year, besting Firefox browser, Safari browser, and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Google also announced a few other changes to Chrome browser , including the addition of new features that let you erase embarrassing (or NSFW) Web sites from the most-visited list that appears when you open a new tab in Chrome. And Chrome now has a feature found in many browsers: form auto fill.

Google airs Google Chrome on TV
Google has taken a new initiative to promote Google Chrome browser. Earlier there was news that Google chrome browser would come pre installed in Computers, just to increase its usage and popularity. I have Google Chrome installed at my office where I use Microsoft windows XP and at my home as well where I use Microsoft windows vista. I think the speed on the both the operating system is like lightning.
Google plans to make its first foray into the old-fashioned world of television advertising with spots promoting its Chrome browser this weekend.
Google Japan had already released a 30-second video promoting Google Chrome browser on YouTube, but the company will distribute that video through the Google TV Ads network this weekend as an experiment to see if it can drum up interest in Chrome, its new browser. Google said it's using the research it has done on measuring the relevance of television ads in order to place the Chrome ad appropriately.
Chrome was also featured as part of a huge ad on the front page of The New York Times' Web site Friday, with several different videos promoting the browser. Those are also available, of course, on YouTube.
For a consumer brand of sits size, Google does relatively little advertising. It put Chrome ads on YouTube in January, but "house ads" are a little different than network television exposure. Likewise, T-Mobile advertises the "G1 with Google" in hyping up the Android-powered G1, but that's not exactly the same as making Google the focus of the ad.

Google Chrome security fix is reissued by Google
Google fixed security issues with a new release of its stable version of Google Chrome browser -- then released a replacement shortly afterward to prevent a batch of crashes that turned up as well.
Chrome 1.0.154.64 emerged Tuesday and was intended to fix one critical security problem and one high-severity one. On Thursday, came 1.0.154.65 to fix a crash during startup that affected "a small percentage of users," said Google Chrome Program Manager Mark Larson.
With the first problem, an attacker under some circumstances could run attack software with the same privilege as the computer user.
With the second, an issue handling 2D graphics could potentially allow a specially crafted image to crash a tab and run an attacker's code within Chrome's sandbox security isolation system.

Google Toolbar updated with My Location
Google has updated and added new features to its new Toolbar 6 Beta with the new feature of My location which is similar to Google latitude services which were launched in February. Google has already launched it’s my location feature in mobile phones. With My Location enabled, Toolbar searches are matched to your computer's IP address: everything you seek is now also seeking you. It can scour your Wi-Fi IP address as well, making it easier to find a "better" Starbucks from your current Starbucks.
You can easily download this feature on your Microsoft windows. Beware attempting to access My Location from behind a firewall. Google Toolbar with My Location features is oddly only available on Internet Explorer 6.0+. But not on Google Chrome.

Google updated Chrome browser to boost speed
Google has updated the development build of the Google Chrome with a new feature which allows editing thumbnails on a new tab page. Earlier Chrome use to show the recently closed website on a thumbnail, now the new tab option is embedded in the contextual menu on the tab bar, as well as Undo Tab Close feature. But unfortunately, user can’t disable tab thumbnails on a new tab page completely, leaving only the list of recently closed tabs, windows and past searches.
It’s not over yet, Google made little more minor adjustment about how Chrome handles text coping. For computer security purposes, it’s no longer possible to cut or copy from a password text-field. The new Ctrl+Shift+Arrow key combo switches change in text direction in right-to-left user interfaces. The browser also support Ctrl +Shift text alignment based on which side of the keyboard those keys are pressed. Finally, this development version of Chrome fixed several bugs related to Google Calendar widget, text disappearance in certain web apps, mouse wheel and vertical scrollbar, form auto fill and history deletion while in Incognito mode.

New Beta of Google Chrome Arrived with new Extensions
Google has released its new version of Google chrome which is upgraded with new features. Google removed the beta tag from Google chrome in December, after three months from its release. Google claims its 25 percent faster on V8 benchmark tests and 35 percent faster on Sun spider, so if you are looking for improved JavaScript speed, you may want to try the new beta.
Following are the some of its new features-
Google had added Form AutoFill feature in chrome which lets the browser remember the text or information filled by us on websites to save out time when we visit them again. When we revisit those websites then the text or information which we provided will automatically appear below the characters we are typing. Just making it easy and handy as it is in Firefox.
Now we can have full page zoom view in chrome, same as we have it in Mozilla Firefox, to have a zoom view in chrome simply go to Page menu, select text zoom and select larger or smaller. Choosing normal returns back to its original view.
Google is also encouraging development of extensions for Chrome, especially since extensions for Firefox are among the primary reasons that people use it. Hopefully Google will soon be releasing more extensions for chrome lovers. Soon Google will be releasing Mac and Linux version of chrome.
